Initiated just before the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, a workshop organised by Tearfund at the Ressurection Gardens in Nairobi, Kenya, the Malizingira Movement is a network of vibrant organisations and individuals that champion the environmental issues and the climate change agenda.
The Malizingira Movement comprises several member organisations with an active concern for and contribution to environmental issues. The entities are represented in the network by individuals, most of them youth with various backgrounds and approaches to tackling climate change issues and the environmental conservation agenda.
